Penrose Project Update
Currently, in the Penrose Point State Park located in Pierce County, work is underway to remove a 700 foot long creosote treated bulkhead from the shoreline.
When completed, this project will restore natural shoreline processes for salmon, surf smelt, sand lance, and herring, while improving public health and safety through removal of toxic creosote.
