Volunteer Opportunity!
Volunteer opportunity next Saturday, February 26th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Clover Creek in Parkland. In 2009, volunteers planted 475 trees and shrubs along Clover Creek to help replenish the native riparian area. Adjacent to Clover Creek is a remnant of the South Sound prairie ecosystem. Building off the success of the prior project, this planting is part of an effort to restore some of the native prairie and will utilize bulbs, forbs, and other ground cover similar to what might have been on site prior to disturbance.
